Shop Crush : Couleur Chanvre

Couleur Chanvre was born in the French Rhone Alpes region, a region where old dyies and silk factories have slowly been converted into lofts, apartments, supermarkets or museums. To preverse the artisans know how, Couleur Chanvre works with local manufacturers and eco friendly materials and processes of creation. One goal always remains : "to create an accessible and seductive product that is respectful of its environment in all senses of the word."

I have a few pieces from the Couleur Chanvre collection from my previous life in the South of France and I will tell you this : the flower pocket linen tablecloth and bed linens I acquired from their shop have surpassed any of my expectations and still look and feel brand new after many years of use and washes. I am sold - and actually eyeing more of their yummy hemp tablecloths to bring back with me this summer... Gorgeous!

new {milk + honey home}

I am sure to be doing some shopping while I am Spain and Italy but first I may just have to treat myself to some of the new items that recently arrived at Milk and Honey Home. They really always have the best cake stands (I already own one of theirs) and the newest one may just be my next purchase.

wearable art.

Art plus fashion makes for one of my favorite combinations, and these prints by Jenni Rope for Marimekko A/W 2011 are no exception.

brand identity: edgeboard.

Brilliant logo design for EdgeBoard, handmade cutting boards with an edge that you use to slide off the chopped food against (I want one). The brand comes to life using the edge in any application.

Monday!

Hello Monday and happy new week to you! My week is going to be super busy but I am all cheered up because this week, we're saying goodbye to May and hello to June - and June means summer, and shorts and flip-flops, and outdoor grilling, and popsicles and swimming... Oups, back to work, it's Monday. Happy Monday my dear! Xo, Si-

and I am off...

Today is the day that we finally depart for our European adventure! Although our final destination is Italy we will be spending the first day in Madrid and thought it was only appropriate to share some inspiration from my favorite Spanish interior design magazine, nuevo estilo, to get me in the mood! I definitely wouldn't mind enjoying tapas in either of these dining areas...

And although I will be spending some time away from the computer (or trying) I do have some posts lined up for while I am away!
